Unrest Film Premieres Sept 22 in U.S. and Oct 20 Internationally

Jennifer Brea is inspiring!  After bringing awareness of CFS to the TED Talks stage, Brea worked with producer Alysa Nahmias to educate millions worldwide with Unrest, a full length, 90-minute film about ME/CFS.

Sundance Institute Creative Distribution Fellowship, a new initiative to support filmmaking teams in releasing their work, chose UnrestI as one of two acclaimed works from the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.  The National Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Association congratulates Jennifer Brea and the #MEAction team on successful and strategic development to draw attention to this life-altering condition.

Available in 31 languages, the transcript of Brea's TED Talk, "What Happens when you have a disease doctors can't diagnose," is educating and inspiring millions of people worldwide.  A Ph.D. student at Harvard, engaged to the love of her life, she felt invincible.  After a fever of 104.7, her health and life were completely different.  Jennifer shares her journey with ME/CFS, its political obstacles, and advocating for research.  Myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) is commonly referred to as chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), a complex and debilitating chronic disease that is a great imitator of other diseases.

ME/CFS affects approximately 1-2.4 million people in the U.S. and millions more worldwide.  #MEAction organizes advocacy and awareness events through galvanizing the ME/CFS community.   Major research center Solve ME/CFS Initiative offers a webinar series and resources for patients and clinicians.

Look for a premiere showing near you, consider hosting a community screening, or In the US, Unrest will be broadcast on PBS's Independent Lens January 8, 2018.
